Whether Washington drafts a quarterback is anybody’s guess at this point Womens Dwayne Haskins Jersey , but the team is doing its due diligence on all the top-rated prospects.West Virginia’s Will Grier will visit Redskins Park in the coming days, NBC Sports Washington reports.Washington does not have a long-term solution at quarterback with Alex Smith‘s future in doubt and Case Keenum and Colt McCoy signed only through 2019. Washington could attempt to trade for Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen or it could draft one.The team, though, is expected to find a young quarterback to groom behind Keenum and McCoy.Missouri quarterback Drew Lock and Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham visited the team’s facility last week, and Duke’s Daniel Jones is expected this week.Washington also has scouted Dwayne Haskins, sending a contingent of coaches and executives to Ohio State’s Pro Day last month. Team president Bruce Allen and coach Jay Gruden were among those who made the trip to Columbus.Kansas State offensive lineman Dalton Risner also is expected to be among the team’s pre-draft visitors, NBC Sports Washington adds. ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)Dak Prescott was getting X-rays on his swollen right hand when rookie Ryan Switzer scored his first career touchdown on an 83-yard punt return. The extra time with the Dallas offense on the sideline kept Prescott from missing any plays, and last year’s NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year led the Cowboys to their first win after three straight losses without suspended star running back Ezekiel Elliott. Prescott threw two touchdown passes, including a franchise record-breaker to Dez Bryant , in the Cowboys’ 38-14 victory over the Washington Redskins on Thursday night.Article continues below ... The injury happened in the second quarter when Prescott’s right hand was hit by linebacker Josh Harvey-Clemons just as he made an option pitch to Rod Smith. Thanks to Switzer’s dash to the end zone, Prescott didn’t miss a snap. He said the X-rays came back negative. ”I don’t know if I’ve ever broken my hand,” Prescott said. ”I couldn’t grip initially right after because the (hand) swelled up on me so bad. As I said, they wrapped it up Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , got the swelling down and I was fine.” Bryant’s leaping 13-yard catch in the end zone was the 2014 All-Pro’s first score in six games and 72nd of his career, one more than Hall of Famer Bob Hayes. The Cowboys (6-6) never trailed despite a sluggish start to the offense, thanks to three first-half turnovers and four overall by the Redskins (5-7). Dallas kept it going after halftime with a 21-7 scoring edge after getting outscored 72-6 in the second half during the three-game skid. Alfred Morris, Elliott’s replacement during the six-game suspension for alleged domestic violence, had 127 yards rushing and a clinching touchdown. The Cowboys forced NFL-leading Philadelphia to wait until at least Sunday to clinch the division title. But Dallas still faces a steep climb to playoff contention, and two more games without Elliott. The Redskins had already been eliminated in the division race and are virtually out of the postseason picture after Kirk Cousins threw two interceptions and lost a fumble while throwing two touchdown passes. Jamison Crowder let the pass go through his hands on Cousins’ first interception and fumbled on a Dallas punt a few plays later in the Redskins’ fourth straight loss to the Cowboys, the longest such streak in the series since 2003-04. ”It was just miscues,” Cousins said. ”A dropped ball here, we had a nice drive down the field the second drive, just a tough turnover, and then it was one thing after another that were just mistakes. They happen, and we have to correct them.” By the time the Redskins answered Switzer’s punt return with a 75-yard drive that ended with Cousins’ 20-yard scoring pass to Ryan Grant , Prescott was ready to return. He had been holding his right hand in his helmet once he returned to the sideline. Rookie backup Cooper Rush had his helmet on when the Redskins punted. ”If we didn’t have the return by Switz, Cooper Rush would have got in the ballgame at that point Wes Martin Jersey ,” coach Jason Garrett said. ”We got the return, Dak was able to come back out.” Prescott only threw for 102 yards but didn’t have a turnover after throwing five interceptions and losing three fumbles without a touchdown pass during the losing streak. And the Cowboys looked more like the offense they have when Elliott is around, with Morris picking up big yardage on clock-killing drives with the Cowboys in front. Cousins moved the Washington offense sporadically because he was consistently harassed behind a patchwork offensive line that had to shuffle some more because of injuries. Cousins, who was 26 of 37 for 251 yards, was replaced by Colt McCoy late in the fourth quarter. SACKS ARE BACK DeMarcus Lawrence, the NFL sacks leader most of the first half of the season, had two of Dallas’ four sacks, ending a two-game drought for the entire team and extending his career high to 13 1/2. Cousins was hit hard by David Irving on a sack in the fourth quarter. BRYANT’S IMPACT Bryant still hasn’t had a 100-yard game, his longest drought to start a season since his second year in 2011. that set up his record-setting TD on the first play of the fourth quarter. ”I was talking about that demeanor and that attitude that we carried,” Prescott said. ”I give him credit. He kind of brought it this week and pretty much tonight and you kind of felt it early.” MORE OL SHUFFLING Redskins right tackle Morgan Moses didn’t return after injuring an ankle in the first half, forcing Ty Nsekhe to that spot after he was a fill-in starter at left guard on a patchwork line that’s been dealing with injuries all season. Left tackle Trent Williams left the field briefly in the third quarter. He’s been inactive three of the past six games because a knee injury that will require surgery. Washington was already missing center Chase Roullier because of a hand injury. UP NEXT Redskins: At Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 10. Cowboys: At New York Giants on Dec. 10 to start a season-ending stretch of three of four on the road. —

OAKLAND Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , Calif. (AP) — The Coliseum Authority will meet Friday to get an update on the possibility of whether the Raiders could stay in Oakland another year.Authority executive director Scott McKibben said he will update the board in closed session on where things stand between the Raiders and the Coliseum following a lawsuit filed by the city of Oakland against the team and the NFL last month. No Raiders officials will be present. The Raiders had pulled their $7.5 million lease offer for 2019 off the table following the lawsuit, but owner Mark Davis later said all options remain for where the team will play its final season before moving into a new $1.8 billion, 65,000-seat stadium in Las Vegas in 2020.McKibben said he has been in touch with Raiders president Marc Badain and told him the board is willing to meet after the team has done its due diligence into other sites. The Bay Area News Group reported that the team will meet with the authority, but McKibben said nothing has been scheduled yet.The Raiders have had talks with the San Francisco Giants about sharing their ballpark, could share Levi’s Stadium with the 49ers or try to find a stadium in another market. Coach Jon Gruden was in no mood to rehash Denver's final drive that handed the Oakland Raiders a second straight defeat to open his tenure as coach.Case Keenum and the Broncos were able to move the ball down the field with little pressure in the heat and altitude of Denver and get a 36-yard field goal from Brandon McManus in the closing seconds of a 20-19 victory Sunday.A second straight game with no consistent pass rush raised an obvious question for Gruden about whether the decision to trade edge rusher Khalil Mack, who was holding out, to Chicago for a package of draft picks was a wise move."It doesn't make me regret Womens Antonio Brown Jersey ," Gruden said Monday "We made the trade. We made the trade. There has got to be hindsight, 50-50, all that stuff. We would have loved to have him here and I'm not going to keep rehashing this. I would have loved to (have) coached him, loved to have him here, but he's not here. Somebody's got to step up."That hasn't happened through two games so far this season as Oakland has just two sacks combined in losses to the Los Angeles Rams and Broncos in the opening two weeks.Bruce Irvin, who used to be nicknamed Robin to Mack's Batman, has been unable to deliver with the bigger responsibility of being the top pass rusher. He had one sack in the opener against the Rams but didn't provide much this past week.He committed a personal foul that extended a touchdown drive for the Broncos after Oakland had appeared to make a third-down stop and looked gassed on the final drive when Keenum moved the ball from his 10 to the Oakland 18 with under two minutes remaining."Well obviously we need to get more out of our captain," Gruden said. "He's put in some tough spots Antonio Brown Jersey White , certainly. He's a good player. He's had some really good snaps. We need more and more from him. I know he's giving us everything he has and it's tough on him, certainly, because we do have a lot of new guys around him upfront. We're happy he's here."The Raiders also hoped to get a boost from three rookie draft picks in end Arden Key and tackles P.J. Hall and Maurice Hurst. Key excelled in the preseason but has looked overmatched at times now that the regular season has started.Hurst had the team's only sack Sunday and Hall played on an injured ankle for much of the opener before missing the game against the Broncos and likely a little more time. The lack of a pass rush has played a role in Oakland struggling in the second half the first two weeks. The Raiders led both games at halftime but have been outscored 43-7 in the final two quarters for the worst second-half scoring margin in the league.even before the defense allowed the game-winning drive. Early in the fourth quarter, fullback Keith Smith dropped a pass from Derek Carr on fourth-and-1 from the Denver 33.Instead of the Raiders going in for another score to extend a 19-10 lead, the Broncos took over and drove for a touchdown.Oakland got the ball back with less than six minutes to go and a chance to ice the game. The Raiders got two first downs but a double pass interference call against Denver's Bradley Roby and Oakland's Amari Cooper wiped out a 29-yard gain to Cooper. Then a false start on second-and-4 by tight end Jared Cook helped stall the drive and led to a punt that set up Denver's winning drive."This is the National Football League. You have to be able to finish the game," Raiders cornerback Rashaan Melvin said. "That's something we haven't done as a team and we really need to focus on doing."
ENGLEWOOD Womens Noah Fant Jersey , Colo. (AP)Not even the signing of free agent Case Keenum could keep the Broncos from staging yet another quarterback competition this offseason. This time it’s a battle for the backup job. After bypassing a quarterback in a draft that was deep on passing prospects, general manager John Elway declared that Paxton Lynch and Chad Kelly would duke it out for the No. 2 job. That served as a vote of confidence in Lynch, his 2016 first-round pick who hasn’t been able to win the starting job, and a golden opportunity for Kelly, ”Mr. Irrelevant” in 2017 as the last player picked in the draft.”With Paxton, we still think he is young. We are not kicking him to the curb. He can still develop. When we drafted him two years ago, we knew it was going to take some time,” Elway said. ”Paxton is going to compete with Chad for that backup spot. We are not going to bring another one in for OTAs.”That marked the first time Elway had publicly mentioned Kelly as having a chance to win a roster spot a year after missing his entire rookie season while recovering from wrist and knee surgeries.”I thought of it as, OK, perfect, I can get more reps,” Kelly said Saturday after serving as the only quarterback during a 90-minute walkthrough that capped the Broncos’ three-day rookie orientation. ”I just look at it as another opportunity to get better each and every day and each and every rep.”Kelly’s offseason work habits have resulted in a reshaped body.Kelly said ”eating a lot of spinach and chicken paid off instead of fried food. … I came here and knew I needed to move around and get back to my old playing weight back in early college and high school. So, I’m kind of feeling I can move around and so some things with my legs but also be powerful in throwing the ball.”Kelly has impressed both on and off the field.”Well, I’ve been proud of Chad overall,” coach Vance Joseph said. ”I mean, he’s been here every day. He’s worked his butt off. And he’s changed his body. Last year he was a little tubby kid. He is really lean now. He’s eating right. He’s working hard. He’s definitely put the work in.”And he’s throwing the ball really well right now.”So much so that bare hands are a bad idea for receivers, suggested tight end Jake Butt.”He can rip that thing now,” said Butt, who also sat out his rookie season. ”You’ve definitely got to wear gloves. He’ll be spinning that bad boy pretty tough. He’s learning the offense, he’s taking leadership, he’s doing a great job.”Joseph insisted Lynch was handling himself fine, too.In March, the Broncos declared Keenum the starter as soon as he signed. In April, they said Lynch would have to beat out Kelly for the backup job.”I think Paxton’s done a good job, also,” Joseph said. ”I think for Paxton and for our football team, it’s been a weight off all of our backs to have a starting quarterback and have everyone’s role defined from Day 1.”He said that allows Lynch to ”relax and get better each day and not worry about a competition.”Joseph suggested Lynch could learn how to handle adversity from Keenum.”Case has been through some ups and downs throughout his career. So, he can learn from Case on how to handle those things,” Joseph said. ”And it takes time to be an NFL quarterback. And you would hope with Case being here, he can sit back and relax and get better as a quarterback and not worry about being the guy right now and just compete to be our backup.”— This probably won’t go well." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesHorizontal - WhiteMile High Reporta Denver Broncos communityLog In or Sign UpLog InSign UpFanpostsFanshotsSectionsBroncosOddsShopAboutMastheadCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMoreAll 322 blogs on Horizontal - WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Broncos NewsBroncos 2019 Draft ClassBroncos PodcastsBroncos 2019 ScheduleKey Offseason DatesCommunity RulesFull ArchiveBroncos StoriesScheduleRosterStatsOdds Shop About Masthead Community Guidelines StubHub ✕Filed under:Denver Broncos Mock DraftsDenver Broncos 2019 DraftMock draft: Predicting the first-round of the 2019 NFL DraftNew,39commentsThis probably won’t go well. Mock draft: Predicting the first-round of the 2019 NFL DraftPhoto by Michael Reaves/Getty ImagesHappy Draft day Mile High Report! The first-round of the 2019 NFL Draft kicks off later tonight and months of questions surrounding the draft will finally get answers. In this piece, I will give you my one and only mock draft. This appears it is going to be one of the more unpredictable first-rounds in awhile, so this will likely not go well for me. I’ll predict a few trades, but will not go overboard here. I’ll have a second round through seventh round mock draft for the Broncos dropping Friday morning! So without further ado, here is my one and only 2019 NFL Mock Draft,1: Arizona Cardinals - Quarterback, Kyler MurrayThis pick has been speculated and discussed for months and finally becomes official. Kyler Murray is a Cardinal and Josh Rosen is on his way to getting traded out of town.Murray is a good fit for Kliff’s offensive system and he will be the week one starter for the Cardinals.2: San Francisco 49ers - EDGE, Nick BosaAnother pick that has been known for months is Nick Bosa to the 49ers. If the Cardinals take Murray, Bosa would fall right into the Niners lap and that is exactly what happened.Bosa will join recently acquired Dee Ford as the teams two starting edge rushers giving them a pretty talented front seven. TRADE ALERT - Washington trades up from 15th overall to 3rd overall3- Washington via the New York Jets - Quarterback, Dwayne Haskins Boom!Daniel Snyder does Daniel Snyder things here an sells the farm to the New York Jets to make sure he can get his quarterback. The Jets would love to trade back and they find a more than willing partner here with Washington.Alex Smith is out for the year and Case Keenum/Colt McCoy just aren’t cutting it, so they get the top quarterback in the draft in an expensive trade up.4. Oakland Raiders - Defensive Tackle, Quinnen WilliamsThe Raiders probably wanted Haskins here, but end up getting the best player in the entire draft. Not a terrible plan B.Williams will pair with Maurice Hurst and gives the Raiders one tough interior pass rush to build around.5: Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Linebacker, Devin WhiteThis pick has been known for weeks and it finally becomes official. The Bucs lost Kwon Alexander during free agency and get his replacement here with White.6: New York Giants - EDGE, Josh AllenWith the Jets trading back, Josh Allen falls to the other New York team. Giants need a ton of help everywhere, and Allen will give a boost to their pass rushing unit.7: Jacksonville Jaguars - Offensive Tackle, Andre DillardWith Nick Foles now at quarterback, protecting him should be their top priority and thats what they do here with Dillard. He’s the best pure pass blocker in the draft and with Foles being a pocket quarterback, you’ll need someone to keep his blind-side clean and Dillard will do just that.TRADE ALERT - Atlanta trades up from 14th overall to 8th overall with the Detroit Lions8: Atlanta Falcons via Detroit Lions - Defensive Tackle, Ed OliverThe Falcons love Oliver and they make sure they get their man here by trading up with the Lions. His interior pass rush will greatly upgrade their defense.9: Buffalo Bills - Offensive Tackle. Jonah WilliamsBills need to protect Quarterback Josh Allen so he isn’t running for his life every snap, so they get Jonah Williams here. He’s the most well-rounded tackle in the draft and will step in as a day one starter at tackle or guard for the Bills10: Denver Broncos - Linebacker Womens Dre'Mont Jones Jersey , Devin BushNow for the pick you all clicked this thing for. The Broncos could go a number of ways hereand it isn’t easy to narrow those scenarios down. They could always go Drew Lock but those rumors kinda died down, but he’s likely still in play. A tight end like T.J. Hockenson is likely someone high on their board and likely in play here. I also wouldn’t rule out a trade back with say someone like Houston who wants to jump up to get a tackle. In the end, I have them going with Bush which seems like the likely outcome as I am typing this up at 2:00 A.M. Bush gives Head Coach Vic Fangio the inside linebacker he desires in his defense and someone who can do it all. He is excellent in space, a nose for the ball, plays with his hair on fire, a violent tackle, solid in coverage, and just the linebacker the Broncos have been lacking for a few years now. 11: Cincinnati Bengals - Quarterback, Drew LockNewly hired Head Coach Zac Taylor gets his quarterback to develop here in Drew Lock. Incumbent Andy Dalton is in the final year of his deal and an extension doesn’t seem like it’s in the cards for him right now, so they draft his replacement in Lock. 12: Green Bay Packers - Tight End, T.J. HockensonThe tight end is a position that really hasn’t stood out in the Green Bay offense in recent history, but that changes here. Hockenson is a stud who will impact the running game with his blocking and give Rodgers a big target to work with in the passing game13: Miami Dolphins - Offensive Tackle, Jawaan TaylorOur Broncos signed the Miami Dolphins former starting right tackle in free agency, so they find his replacement here in Taylor. With them going after a quarterback in 2020, building up that offensive line before that should be a priority for the Dolphins.14: Detroit Lions via Atlanta Falcons- EDGE, Montez SweatThe Lions are in the market for a pass rusher and get a top 10 talent in Sweat who feel just a bit because of a potential health concern. If his medicals come clean, he will be an excellent addition to the Lions pass 15: New York Jets via Washington - EDGE Brian BurnsJets find a trade partner and are still able to get themselves an edge rusher for their defense. Burns is probably the best pure pass rusher in the draft and would be an excellent addition to their defense.16: Carolina Panthers - Guard, Chris LindstromThe Panthers need to protect Cam Newton while also getting someone who can move people in the running game. That is exactly what Chris Lindstrom can do and someone who will come in and start day one for the Panthers.17: New York Giants - Quarterback, Daniel JonesThis won’t be a popular pick in the Big Apple. The Giants get their heir apparent to Eli Manning here in former Duke quarterback, Daniel Jones.18: Minnesota Vikings - Center, Garrett BradburyWith Gary Kubiak joining the Vikings offensive staff in some capacity, they will be moving to a zone-blocking scheme. Well, they need help on the inside of their line and Bradbury is an excellent fit in a zone-blocking scheme. 19: Tennessee Titans - Wide Receiver, Marquise BrownThis is a bit of a wildcard pick here, but Hollywood is getting some first-round hype here so lets roll the dice here. Brown is a pure burner and would be an excellent complement to Corey Davis and slot receiver Adam Humphries. 20: Pittsburgh Steelers - Cornerback, Rock Ya-SinRock Ya-Sin is a favorite of mine and is rumored to be the corner the Steelers covet here at 20. He’s a physical late bloomer that will join a secondary in need of some help. 21: Seattle Seahawks - Defensive End, Rashan GaryThe Seahawks need help all over their defensive line and nab the free-falling Gary here. Their pass rushers are really lacking, but Gary will quickly fix that for him. 22: Baltimore Ravens - Wide Receiver, D.K. MetcalfThe Ravens need a big deep threat for quarterback, Lamar Jackson. Metcalf is a large man who runs a 4.4 40-time. His game needs some refining, but he would be an excellent pick here for the Ravens.23: Houston Texans - Offensive Tackle, Cody FordIf the Texans want to have success, they need to keep quarterback Deshaun Watson healthy. Ford will be a giant step in the right direction. He’s a big man with light feet who can step in right away and start24: Oakland Raiders - Cornerback, Greedy WilliamsI can see Gruden losing his sh*t if Greedy is still on the board here. He’s a big and speedy man cover guy who will help a depleted Oakland secondary.25: Philadelphia Eagles - Safety, Chauncey Gardner-JohnsonThe Eagles need a bunch of help on the back end of their defense so they select the do it all safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson here to help their secondary. 26: Indianapolis Colts - Defensive Tackle, Jeffery SimmonsSimmons is a top 5 talent, but unfortunately tore his ACL preparing for the NFL Draft. He’ll sit out all of 2019, but will give the Colts an elite talent to have for 2020. An excellent addition here by the Colts.27: Oakland Raiders - Running Back, Joshua JacobsThe Raiders love for Jacobs is well documented and they will likely come out of the first-round with him on their team. They need a rusher for quarterback Derek Carr to lean on.28: Los Angeles Chargers - Wide Receiver, N’Keal HarryThe Chargers lost wide receiver Tyrell Williams to free agency and will look to replace him with N’Keal Harry. He’s another big body for quarterback Phillip Rivers to lean on. 29: Seattle Seahawks - Cornerback, Byron MurphyMurphy would be an excellent addition to the Seattle secondary. He’s a best fit in a zone system and would push for starting time in their secondary30: Green Bay Packers - ensive line needs plenty of help and Risner could play at center, guard, or even push tackle Bryan Bulaga for playing time. Aaron Rodgers has been banged up a lot lately, so protecting him should be a priority.31: Los Angeles Rams - EDGE, Clelin FerrellThe Rams pass rushing unit is upgraded, but they still need some more talent and get that by adding the former Clemson pass rusher. With a high-flying passing attack, you will need all the pass rushers you can get.32: New England Patriots - Tight End, Noah FantThis pick would just be unfair, but I couldn’t find a spot for Fant until this pick. With tight end Rob Gronkowski retiring the Patriots need to upgrade their tight end unit. Fant is an excellent pass catcher who cold quickly become a weapon for quarterback, Tom Brady.
Another coach is reportedly out at Redskins Park Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , but we still haven't heard anything official from the organization. Defensive Backs Coach Torrian Gray was reportedly let go earlier in the week as the Redskins search for a replacement for him and possibly for his boss Greg Manusky.Today the Atlanta Falcons announced they have hired Redskins Special Teams Coordinator Ben Kotwica. The Redskins reportedly let Kotwica seek other opportunities. He has been with Jay Gruden for the past 5 years. The rumors for other coaching changes continue to swirl out of Ashburn. Greg Manusky has been on the hot seat for a while and the Redskins brought in former New York Jets Head Coach Todd Bowles to discuss potential openings. Bowles isn't coming here, but that was only one name. Gregg Williams was fired by the Browns today, but he's already been theough the cycle here...Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line Coach Bill Callahan is another name that keeps coming up when potential coaching changes are discussed. There was a report today that Callahan works his guys too hard which is simply unacceptable on a Jay Gruden-run team.Defensive Line Coach Jim Tomsula could also be on his way out. He is considered one of the top posirion coaches in the NFL, but he is linked with Manusky and could follow him out the door. One name that doesn't get mentioned? Offensive Coordinator Matt Cavanaugh. Has anyone figured out what he does here yet?#FireBruceAllen The NFL and NFL Players Association will not be conducting a joint review of Trent Williams‘ medical records, after all.Via the , the Washington left tackle has directed the NFLPA not to participate in the joint review. Per the report, the union never agreed the review, contrary to the prior proclamation from the TV network owned by the NFL that a joint committee would be convened.be inclined not to authorize the joint committee review process, based on the first line of a statement issued on Sunday morning: “In our multiple conversations with Trent and his agent, we have considered various options based on the facts, but we also understand that Trent wants to put this all behind him, not relive a painful experience when his life was in danger and move on with his career.”On Monday NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith echoed the notion that Williams may simply want to move on during an appearance with The Junkies on 106.7 The Fan in D.C.“If a player decides that he wants to move on and put stuff behind him we understand the situation and in many cases, abide by the player’s wishes Womens Bryce Love Jersey , my only point is I don’t like a scenario where we believe, where we see private medical information being leaked into the media we don’t like disinformation about a player’s healthcare or any issue about a player’s healthcare being discussed by some other party,” Smith said. Some will assume that Williams’ decision to move on flows from a concern that the truth will undercut his claim that team doctors negligently failed to diagnose and treat a growth on his skull that was cancerous. That position is boosted by the recent ravings of former Washington G.M. Charley Casserly, who insisted that Williams failed to schedule a biopsy three years ago and then claimed this is all about money. (As explained on Sunday, however, Casserly’s get-off-my-lawn logic quickly falls apart in light of the fact that Williams was regularly in the presence of team doctors and trainers in the three years after allegedly failing to schedule the biopsy.)But consider this: What would Williams gain from a joint committee review of his medical records? Any discipline imposed on Washington would be in the form of a fine, and any disclosure of his medical information would carry with it the very real risk that someone with the team or the league would share, in general or specific terms, information (or misinformation) about the contents of Williams’ chart to NFL Network. Also, the joint committee would give Washington and its doctors a great opportunity to engage in some advance discovery, in the event that Williams pursues whatever options may be available to him within the confines of the justice system. While the league and the team surely would enjoy immunity from a malpractice claim, team doctors are almost always independent — and thus potentially would have exposure regardless of any CBA protections that would encompass the franchise.
Khalil Mack went all the way to Europe for a chance to sack his former teammate Derek Carr as the NFL kicks off the first of four games in London.Mack and the Bears (3-1) enter Week 5 tied for first in the NFC South while the Raiders (2-2) are tied for second in the AFC West. Mack faces the Raiders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 13 months after being traded to Chicago following a contract dispute.Mack has 17 sacks and 10 forced fumbles since joining the Bears last season compared to a Raiders defense that has just 18 sacks and eight forced fumbles from the entire unit.Next Sunday https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey , NFC South rivals Carolina and Tampa Bay will also play at Tottenham. It’s already their second meeting of the season after the Buccaneers beat the Panthers 20-14 on Thursday night in Week 2.In Week 8, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, the former quarterbacks coach for the Rams, will lead Cincinnati as it faces the NFC champions in Wembley Stadium. And in Week 9, the London games conclude as Houston plays its first game in London in an AFC South matchup against Jacksonville, which will be playing its seventh annual “home” game in the city. This will also be the second matchup of the season for the teams. Houston won the first meeting 13-12 in Week 2 as the Jaguars failed on a late 2-point conversion attempt. The hard hitting safety joins an Oakland secondary that features two other first round picks in Gareon Conley and Karl Joseph. It’s possible the addition of Abram could spell the end for Karl Joseph’s time in Oakland. However it ends up shaking out, it’s debatable that the Raiders made a huge improvement their secondary by taking Abram in round one.Abram’s strengths are his athleticism, hitting ability and effort he brings on the field. He apparently graduated Mississippi State this past fall and was enrolled in an MBA program while getting ready to be selected in the NFL draft. Married with a daughter, Abram’s maturity off the field is lauded by his former coaches Womens Derek Carr Jersey , a common theme we’ve seen in this 2019 Raiders draft. But on the field, how does Abram contribute? Let’s take a look.Pass CoverageAbram’s pass coverage isn’t a finished product as of yet. He has the athleticism to become a very good pass defender but inconsistencies in his technique lead to up and down results. This is a solid rep from Abram going against eventual drafted Ole Miss tight end Dawson Knox. Knox runs an in-breaking route across the middle of the field and Abram stays on his outside shoulder, breaking in time to cut him off. Abram’s outside leverage position and close body contact prevents the tight end from making an adjustment on this pass. The clip above is another good rep from Abram in coverage and shows how the defensive back has the speed to stay in phase with receivers downfield. Abram is in man coverage and turns to locate the ball, when he realizes it will be out of his reach, he turns his eyes back on the receiver and “rakes” the catch point, breaking up the pass. Often defenders panic when they are in a back shoulder position, Abram knows he has a chance, stays collected and makes a text-book play.Lined up on the left side of the screen in man coverage against fellow first round pick, Iowa’s TJ Hockenson Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , Abram is late to break on this out route. This is a technique issue for Abram and it pops up a few times in his film. Abram is guilty here of what is called a “drop step” where a DB will lose ground prior to his break. If Abram stays square and gains ground on his first step, he has the burst to be in better position against this pass. Another technique issue is Abram gets too grabby with receivers. He is in absolutely perfect position on this deep pass up the sideline. As he starts to get his head around to locate the ball for some reason he second guesses himself and and grabs the receiver first, resulting in a pass interference penalty. We can leave Abram’s pass coverage break down on a high-note. Abram is again in man coverage on the slot receiver in this clip. He transitions vertical and stays on the receiver’s outside shoulder allowing him to read through his man to the quarterback. This eye discipline is what allows him to make the play here because he breaks on the throw and hauls in the interception. Abram has the speed and explosiveness to consistently stay in phase against down field threats. There are just a few technique issues he needs to clean up before he can make a substantial impact in coverage.PhysicalityIt seems the Raiders put a premium on physicality, a trait all 3 first round selections have in spades. Abram perhaps the most physical of the bunch is notorious for his hitting ability. Abram was famously the reason for Mississippi State stopping their 2018 Spring Game early due to the vicious safety leveling his own teammate. Abram plays at full speed every time he steps on the field. The play above is Abram at his best, he hustles from the opposite side of the field and takes an incredible angle to stop this reverse for a loss of yardage. Abram is just moving at a different speed than his teammates who are ready to make this tackle a few yards upfield before Abram whizzes past them. This blitz against Iowa shows Abram is versatile and also won’t be blocked easily. He explodes off the snap, and meets the Iowa running back head on, throwing him aside with ease to notch this sack. Defeating blocks and making plays behind the line of scrimmage should become Abram’s calling card with the Raiders. He tosses 2nd round draft pick, Irv Smith Jr aside, exploding off his inside foot and spinning off the block. This isn’t just athleticism at work Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , defenders are being taught to dispatch blockers in this manner, and Abram is able to do it at full speed before dropping the screen in the backfield. One thing Abram needs to work on is his tackling technique. Right now he relies on his formidable hitting ability to drop ball carriers. He will need to wrap his arms and run his feet through contact more consistently otherwise there will be a handful of plays like this where Abram misses a tackle. Another area of Abram’s game that is very correctable and he has the traits that suggest this shouldn’t be a problem for him in the NFL.ConclusionIf the it’s hard to sell Abram as an immediate upgrade. The two hard hitting safeties are very much alike. Size wise; Abram (5’11) is one inch taller than Joseph (5’10) but Joseph has arms (32 inches) that measure one inch longer than Abram’s (31 inches), both weighed in a 205 lbs at the combine. Both safeties played a lot of box coverage in college and had great film that landed them in the first round of the NFL draft. Each are hard hitters, Joseph actually proving he can do it against NFL competition so he gets the edge.We saw Joseph struggle to get his footwork down early on in his career and he only seemed to turn the corner this past season in pass coverage. Abram too has things he needs to clean up before he can make an impact in pass coverage. Best case scenario Abram and Joseph compete for a starting position and both get on the field in Nickel personnel when Lamarcus Joyner moves to the slot. It’s doubtful that scenario actually plays out. It seems likely Joseph is let go and the secondary breaks even with a younger but similar player as a starter.
ENGLEWOOD https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , Colo. (AP) — Tough-luck tight end Jake Butt said he’s opted to have arthroscopic surgery on his troublesome left knee , a procedure scheduled for Thursday that he hopes will speed his return to the field.Still, his 2019 season could be in jeopardy because so many Denver Broncos players are sidelined that general manager John Elway and coach Vic Fangio will have several tough decisions to make when paring the roster to 53 players this weekend.Butt, a third-year pro, has only played in three NFL games, all of them last season before he tore his left ACL at practice in September. He missed his rookie season in 2017 after tearing his other ACL in his final game for Michigan. He also tore his right ACL during his sophomore season in Ann Arbor.Butt slowly worked his way back into action during the offseason this year but a week into training camp, pain and swelling in his left knee sidelined him for three weeks. He finally was able to play last weekend when he caught two passes for 17 yards against the Los Angeles Rams, declaring himself healthy afterward.he said in a Twitter post that he was going to have arthroscopic surgery to clean up his left knee.“This is the best decision to get me back on the field and stay there,” Butt tweeted. He noted he had a similar procedure after his first ACL injury, “and I went on to play some of the best football of my career in the two years following.”He added that he’s confident he’ll be able to play this season and that his frequent setbacks haven’t diminished his desire to play football. He said he doesn’t want anyone’s pity and hopes his resolve inspires others who are facing tough times.“A positive mindset Phillip Lindsay Jersey White , a strong will, hard work, faith, prayer, and trust can take you so far in life. If you’re going through a tough time … weather the storm. There is hope. It will get better. There’s a lot to be learned and gained from dark days. Don’t miss it by feeling sorry!” Butt wrote.Butt didn’t attend the Broncos’ annual kickoff luncheon Wednesday at the team’s indoor training facility, where safety Dymonte Thomas showed up on crutches with a knee injury that hadn’t been disclosed. The Broncos have a number of difficult decisions coming on cutdown day with so many players sidelined but expected to be healthy in the coming weeks. In addition to Butt and Thomas, QB Drew Lock (thumb), linebackers Todd Davis (calf) and Joe Jones (triceps), running back Theo Riddick (shoulder), fullback Andy Janovich (chest) and guard Ronald Leary (knee) are all hurt. The only way Butt would possibly be able to play in 2019 is to make the roster Saturday and either stay there or go on IR with a potential recall at midseason. One player who’s made a strong comeback this summer is wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders , who had surgery on his left Achilles tendon and his right ankle but said Wednesday he’s faster at age 32 than he was in his late 20s.“I feel like I’m back,” Sanders said. “I’ve ran the fastest I’ve ran since I’ve been a Bronco. I clocked 21.3 mph Womens Phillip Lindsay Jersey , so I feel really good.” The Broncos drafted four players in the first three rounds. None of them play cornerback. That could mean the team has no intention of trading Chris Harris Jr. “We’ll see,” Broncos General Manager John Elway said, via Mike Klis of Denver’s 9News. “Like I’ve always said, Chris has been a great Bronco for a long time. As I’ve said, once we get through the draft, we’ll sit down and I look forward to talking to Chris myself, personally, and see where we are.”Elway confirmed the Broncos have received calls about the veteran cornerback the past two days but nothing substantive. The final year of Harris’ contract includes another $7.9 million this season in addition to the $1 million option bonus he received in March.Harris, who has skipped the team’s voluntary offseason program, asked the Broncos for a new contract or a trade.

Breaking down Raiders struggles to defend jet sweeps Monday following the Raiders week three loss to the Dolphins Bo Jackson Jersey , Jon Gruden addressed one of the major problems that has been plaguing the defense this season; the ability to defend against jet sweeps.“When you give up jet sweeps that go for 75-yard, 35-yard touchdowns, we’ve got to erase those. We got to clean that up immediately,” said Gruden. “I know Jarvis Landry and the Cleveland Browns are looking at our film probably thinking, ‘Let’s try a few of those again this week.’”Through three games the Raiders have seen a total of seven jet sweeps.Three of those plays have gone for touchdowns. The NFL is known as a copycat league. Gruden knows Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Todd Haley is scheming up ways to utilize rookie speedster, Antonio Callaway and Jarvis Landry on jet sweeps for when they face the Raiders next Sunday.“If there is twenty-dollar bills being spit out of a teller down the street, you and I are going to get in line. We are going to stand in line and pick up twenties,” Gruden continued. “The Rams got us, the Dolphins got us and I’m sure Cleveland is going to try and get us as well.”In order to better understand it, let’s take an extensive look at some of the jet sweeps ran against the Raiders defense to see why it is the Raiders struggle to defend it.First of all, it seems obvious to me that opposing teams are targeting the Raiders weak defensive end rotation. They also have rookie Arden Key seeing a high volume of snaps.Key was not drafted for his play versus the run. That is not the strength of his game. With the absence of Khalil Mack, Key has seen more snaps on first and second down.Second, the Raiders lack a high end linebacker with sideline to sideline speed. The linebackers are slow to diagnose and react to the play.Third, in some cases Raiders defensive backs are not getting off blocks. This was the case in the Rams game. The Rams offense deserves credit for their execution https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey , especially the wide receivers for their down field blocking. And finally, the Raiders have shown unsound gap and assignment play at times. Here is a clip from week one versus the Rams.On this play Todd Gurley takes the jet sweep around the right end for a 19-yard touchdown. The Rams attack rookies Key and Hurst on this particular play.Arden Key appears to over pursue and loses contain.Gurley is able to get to the edge because of this.Tahir Whitehead’s play recognition is just a second slow and is caught flat footed.Because of this he gets stuck on a block.Marcus Gilchrist should also come down from his safety position to make a play. The next clip is an example of what appears to be Raiders not staying disciplined to their gap assignments.Brandin Cooks is easily able to get to the outside because Bruce Irvin does not maintain control of the D gap.Having two players in the C gap leaves a vacant D gap.The third clip is again a great example of bad play by the defensive end, in this case Shilique Calhoun. The angle at which Calhoun pursues the ball is terrible.Rather than maintaining containment he takes a direct line to the ball and Grant easily runs around him.Give credit to Reggie Nelson who does make an effort to come up and at take on a blocker.Again, Tahir Whitehead is late recognizing the play and is taken out with a beautiful cut block.Marquel Lee, although improved, doesn’t possess the sideline-to-sideline speed that the Raiders desperately need in a linebacker. In the final clip, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie does a excellent job of forcing Wilson inside. This is where the Raiders need a linebacker to make a play.Unfortunately for the Raiders Whitehead and Lee are both unable to get off blocks and the rest is history. With the lack of talent the Raiders have at the defensive end and linebacker positions, jet sweeps and outside run plays are a trend the Raiders will continue to see. The Patriots made a flurry of trades in the draft, giving them plenty of ammunition to trade up and get Renfrow in the fifth round if they wanted to do that. They ended up trading up twice late in the draft into the bottom of the 5th round. One thing that seemed strange to me was the difference between his red zone prowess and his production as well as not being drafted until the 5th round. I asked Kantor if Renfrow’s low numbers (545 yards, 1 TD) last season might have had more to do with him not being utilized properly or enough.Follow @LeviDamien
Ryan Edwards on First and 10 at 10 on Orange & Blue 760 asked Mike Klis of 9News on Thursday whether or not the Denver Broncos should get some playing time in for their young John Elway Jersey White , inexperienced players in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Chargers.Klis noted some of the young players that could get playing time, but went on a rant about Denver owing it to the rest of the NFL to play their best players to ensure the integrity of the playoffs are upheld.Like, what? Is this guy serious? Screw the damn Kansas City Chiefs seeding and the rest of them. I care about the Denver MFing Broncos and what is best for this franchise. A win would be nice, but they owe it to themselves to get some good looks in live game action of the entire roster so they can go into the 2019 free agency and NFL Draft with the best idea of where their needs are. This fan won’t be shedding any tears over how the Broncos could negatively impact some other team. DENVER BRONCOS (5-11)OPEN CAMP: July 27, Englewood, ColoradoLAST YEAR: Coach Vance Joseph’s first year was debacle in every phase. Denver’s anemic offense cycled through three QBs during soured season that included eight-game skid, franchise’s longest in half-century, and featured eight double-digit losses. Exhausted defense surrendered too many points and special teams were anything but. GM John Elway thought about firing Joseph but decided to give him second chance and then bolsteredroster.IMPORTANT ADDITIONS: QB Case Keenum, DE Bradley Chubb, RB Royce Freeman Womens Royce Freeman Jersey , WR Courtland Sutton, WR DeSean Hamilton, RT Jared Veldheer, LB Josey Jewell, CB Brock Tramaine, S Su’a Cravens, P Marquette King, part-time pass-rushing coach DeMarcus Ware.IMPORTANT LOSSES: CB Aqib Talib, Courtland Sutton Jersey , TE Virgil Green, WR Cody Latimer, ILB Corey Nelson, QB Brock Osweiler, strength and conditioning coach Luke Richesson.CAMP NEEDS: Broncos need Keenum to stay healthy first and foremost because behind him are two players who have combined four NFL starts, all by Paxton Lynch. Former first-round pick will be duking it out with 2017 seventh-rounder Chad Kelly for backup job in toned-down version of QB derby that’s been annual rite of summer in Denver since Peyton Manning retired.EXPECTATIONS: Broncos haven’t had back-to-back losing seasons since 1971-72, and they have every intention of returning to playoffs in 2018. Having Chubb as cohort should make superstar LB Von Miller even better, and Denver’s infusion of offensive talent through draft and free agency should take some pressure off defense that’s been carrying team for three years now.—
OXON HILL Womens Bryce Love Jersey , Md. (AP) — Gov. Larry Hogan has abandoned talks to persuade the Washington Redskins to build its next stadium on a Maryland site currently owned by the federal government.Spokeswoman Amelia Chasse told news outlets Tuesday that Hogan will proceed with acquiring state control of the 300-acre tract near MGM National Harbor. In December, Hogan acknowledged negotiating a nonbinding land swap that could have cleared the way for a 60,000-seat stadium. That plan drew concern from surprised local politicians and those worried about environmental and financial impact.Hogan’s decision and Virginia’s disinterest leaves Redskins owner Daniel Snyder with one suitor — the District of Columbia. His first choice is Washington’s RFK Stadium site, but he now has fewer bargaining chips. The Redskins can’t leave FSeptember 2027. Washington will definitely be activating Adrian Peterson this week. There’s no choice, with Derrius Guice injured. But coach Jay Gruden admitted it was tough to not give the veteran running back a uniform last week against the Eagles, deactivating a guy with 13,318 career rushing yards so he could fully fund his special teams units.“It’s not easy,” Gruden said of the call, via J.P. Finlay of NBCSportsWashington.com. “Adrian was on a couple of teams before we got him. It’s hard sometimes to dress two backs on first down, two first down backs. You have to have guys who different things. You have to have a third-down back. Sometimes it’s Chris Thompson, somebody else got to play third down. Somebody has to help on special teams. It’s hard to get everybody up on a 46-man roster. We just chose to dress [Wendell] Smallwood for a special teams sake and only dress three running backs, which is something we’ve done since I’ve been here pretty much.“So it was a tough decision https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-terry-mclaurin-jersey , something you never want to do, especially with Adrian Peterson. It’s one game. We could dress them all next week and the week after that. So we’ll just address it next week. But this week, with Darren Sproles back there on punts and on the road, we thought it was important to really have the coverage unit in place.”It’s easy for Gruden now, since Guice is expected to miss time with a knee injury suffered in the opener, and the coach is fine with that.“I’m very comfortable,” he said. “[Guice and Peterson] are 1 and 1a to me. They’re the same position. If something happens and Derrius can’t go, we’re happy to play AP and not even bat an eye. Hopefully Derrius will be fine, and eventually, there could be a situation we dress both of them and Chris Thompson. It’s just a matter of where we are special teams wise that given week.”Of course, kicking game concerns are important. But not being able to run effectively with a 17-point lead (which they blew) might also have been important, and having Peterson in uniform might have helped with that.
Who is Trent Brown? The Raiders believe Brown is the player who protected Tom Brady‘s blindside last season. Otherwise Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , they wouldn’t have made Brown the highest-paid offensive lineman in history.Brown vows that’s who he is, too, not the player who the 49ers gave up on. Questions about his work ethic and commitment followed him to New England before he put those to rest. Now, some are questioning whether the Raiders will get the player the Patriots got or one who is satisfied after signing a life-changing contract.“I want more,” Brown said Sunday, via Josh Schrock of NBCSportsBayArea.com. “People feel like I would just get the money and become lazy. No, I want another huge contract. I want more rings. You know what I mean? I want more of everything. I’m thirsty for it.”Brown, 26, is moving to right tackle this season, with the Raiders choosing to keep second-year player Kolton Miller on the left side. “Tackle is tackle,” Brown said. “They got great rushers on both sides. I can just give [Miller] the best knowledge that I have and share it with all the guys and hopefully we can get the whole group to do better. I’m not trying to harbor any information. I’m trying to share it with everybody so we can win that’s the sole focus. The main goal.” The Raiders had one of the NFL’s worst records last year, going 4-12 in Jon Gruden’s return to coaching. The 2018 campaign was marred by injuries as well as an almost total teardown of the roster...."The Raiders had one of the NFL’s worst records last year, going 4-12 in Jon Gruden’s return to coaching. The 2018 campaign was marred by injuries as well as an almost total teardown of the roster. However, there’s plenty of optimism going around Raider Nation for the 2019 season, and those good vibes may be well-placed. Here are a few reasons that the Raiders might just be the most improved team in the league this coming year.1) Derek Carr will be in his second season in Jon Gruden’s systemJon Gruden’s offensive system is notoriously complicated, and it must also be said that due to how bad the Raiders have been during Carr’s tenure he’s basically never been in the same offensive system for more than one season at a time. But this will be Carr’s second season with Gruden, and he’ll have a much better grasp of the offense and how to be successful in it. Carr showed improvement and a better grasp of the system near the end of last year, and that should continue into 2019.2) The Raiders will have better offensive weapons than they’ve had since their Super Bowl runOakland’s top three receivers in the coming season will be Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams and JJ Nelson. Brown is so good that, even if it were him and a pair of traffic cones at receiver, that group would be better than the trio of Amari Cooper Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , Michael Crabtree and Seth Roberts (who is inexplicably still on the team as of this writing). Carr and Brown are already working out together, getting their timing down. That spells disaster for AFC defenses this coming season.3) Despite everything going wrong, the Raiders went 3-4 over their last 7 games in 2018It would have been easy for the Raiders to pack it up after the 49ers and Chargers games, in which Oakland scored a total of nine points. But that’s not what happened. The Raiders went down to Arizona and won, and they also soundly defeated Pittsburgh and Denver. At the end of the year, Oakland was playing like a 7-9 team, rather than a 4-12 team. They bought into Gruden’s coaching and system and played with heart. That ascent should continue with an improved roster.4) Oakland has four draft picks in the top 35Remember that roster teardown I mentioned before? It wasn’t for nothing. Not only did it create a tremendous amount of cap space, it also netted the Raiders three extra first-rounders in the next two drafts. As you all know, the Raiders have three first rounders this year in one of the deepest defensive drafts in recent memory. There are also some quarterback-needy teams who might want to trade up, giving Oakland a chance at even more picks with which to rebuild their roster. The possibilities are endless, but in this Draft, everything’s coming up Milhouse.5) The front office has improved dramaticallyIt was pretty clear last year that former Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie and Jon Gruden had some tension, and the power struggle between the two led to McKenzie’s dismissal. But the Raiders’ hire of Mike Mayock as GM has looked like a masterstroke so far. Gruden and Mayock are old friends who work extremely well together, and every free-agent move so far has addressed and upgraded a huge need on the Raiders’ roster. Mayock has the connections and the tenacity to make a deal happen when he wants it, as shown by his dogged pursuit of Antonio Brown.and Gruden’s leadership. McKenzie was known for some highly questionable picks, especially in the second round. Will Mayock make the right moves? If he does, the Raiders could make a playoff push in 2019 and be set up as serious championship contenders in Las Vegas. There are some other teams that could also show plenty of improvement next year. The Jets’ roster will be better. The Browns have basically already won their division. The 49ers hope to have Jimmy G under center for a full year, but who is he going to throw to besides George Kittle? Those teams could all be better, but there is no team which has a very real chance to go from 4-12 to a playoff push like the Raiders, provided they get some true ballers in the upcoming Draft.
vVon Miller walked into Broncos training camp with the all-time sack record on his mind. But new coach Vic Fangio also has him focusing on all the other non-sack things he can do for the team Courtland Sutton Jersey White , and how that can make him even better than piling up stats.Miller told Peter King of NBC’s that he appreciated the work Fangio and outside linebackers coach Brandon Staley were putting in to make him a more complete player by stressing the fundamentals of things like pass coverage.“I got a great coach here, one of the best coaches I’ve ever had in my life,” Miller said. “We have great leadership here but he’s an outside linebacker guy. He’s coached a lot of great ones. I wanna be his greatest product yet. It’s the little things, like coach Fangio says. When you really focus on the little things it turns into a change of game. It turns into a whole different athlete. I bought into that. I bought into my outside linebackers coach as well, coach Staley. He stays up super late thinking about how to make me better . . . I can really appreciate that. I bought into whatever those coaching points that they give me.”Staley came with Fangio from Chicago, where the linebackers had 51 sacks the last two seasons Joe Flacco Jersey , the third-most in the league. But working with Miller on footwork and drops — and having him buy into it _ should have a carryover effect, as all the non-Von Millers on the Broncos roster see their best player going to new lengths to improve. Mile High Report Interview with Local Pro Day Standout Nico Evans shows he could be a great addition to the Denver Broncos."5th or 6th) for the Denver Broncos. He would immediately challenge 4th year running back Devontae Booker for the 3rd position on the depth chart behind Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman. While it is assumed by most that Lindsay and Freeman will share carries in 2019, Evans has demonstrated in college that he is an effective third down running back. He is consistent with pass blocking, and could bring a balance to the “thunder and lightning,” currently in the Broncos running backs room. He would also be able to make an immediate impact on the field, playing special teams. With undrafted Pro Bowl Running Back Phillip Lindsay’s success last year Bradley Chubb Jersey White , the Broncos understand that talent can come from anywhere. For now, Evans has to hurry up and wait for the NFL Draft, that starts in 2 weeks.University of Wyoming Athletics Department
It’s the preseason https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-terry-mclaurin-jersey , which means it’s #UnofficialDepthChartSZN. Which means it’s time for coaches to spend time talking about how the media and fans are wasting time analyzing the contents of the unofficial depth charts.“I wouldn’t have made a depth chart right now; there’s no reason to, it’s silly,” Washington coach Jay Gruden recently said. “That’s for the media and for me to come up and answer these questions, but really that’s all it is. It’s words on a piece of paper, names on a piece of paper and an order that means nothing at this point.”But it’s still not meaningless. It’s a snapshot, even if premature, regarding the construction of the roster. So Montez Sweat Jersey , yes, it has some meaning. Perhaps not much. But some. Here’s an idea for making depth charts truly meaningless, if that’s the message the coach wants to send: Draw the names for each position out of a hat. That would literally be meaningless. While the league, which mandates the release of the depth charts, may not like the approach, what’s the difference between insisting that the depth chart is meaningless and making it meaningless? So quit saying the depth charts are meaningless, coaches Dwayne Haskins Jersey , and put your money where your meaningless is. Washington denies a report from Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan that owner Dan Snyder has “taken over the first round of the draft.” after Paulsen’s original tweet that “any person saying Dan Snyder has taken over the team’s first-round decision making is ‘categorically false.'”Chatter persists that Washington will try to trade into the top five of the first round. That likely would entail the team drafting a quarterback, something senior vice president of player personnel Doug Williams has acknowledged could happen even if Washington remains at 15.Washington does not have a long-term solution at quarterback with Alex Smith‘s future in doubt and Case Keenum and Colt McCoy signed only through 2019.The team has had several top quarterbacks visit, including Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, Missouri’s Drew Lock, Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham, West Virginia’s Will Grier and Duke’s Daniel Jones. Kyler Murray ended up not visiting.
